Film House Germany is based in Berlin and Los Angeles. The multi-faceted media company covers the development, financing, production and co-production of film and TV for audiences worldwide.

Founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Christian Angermayer, Film House Germany is the parent company to two key production companies: Summerstorm Entertainment and Egoli Tossell Film; both with a strong track record in national and international filmed entertainment.

Gabriela BacherProducer, CEO Summerstorm Entertainment

Based out of Berlin and Los Angeles, Gabriela Bacher brings a wealth of experience to the table having worked as producer and executive on both sides of the Atlantic. As Managing Director of Summerstorm Entertainment (since 2011), Gabriela Bacher produces Film House Germany’s and Summerstorm Entertainment’s slate of film and television projects. She also manages the partnership with Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road Pictures.

Gabriela’s career involved years of industry experience at both independents and major studios. Following her early days in Germany working within physical production, in Los Angeles she first established the L.A. offices of Kirch Group and then took charge of physical production at Constantin Film, before founding her own production company Primary Pictures. Gabriela later returned to Berlin as CEO of Vivendi’s Studio Babelsberg Motion Pictures, playing a significant role in the studio’s restruc­turing and modernization. Soon after, she spent several years consulting with Twentieth Century Fox before heading the German activities of Fox International Productions.

Marc HansellBusiness & Legal, Vorstand/ Managing Director Film House Germany

Marc finished law school in 2001 and has been enrolled with the bar association of Berlin, Germany since 2002. After a brief encounter with the music industry he joined Wim Wender’s Road Movies Filmproduktion as a legal adviser in 2002. This was followed by four years at BFC Berlin Film Company where he has overseen production and distribution of animated feature films and TV series as Head of Legal and Business Affairs. In 2007 Marc joined Egoli Tossell Film as Head of Legal and Business Affairs where he has worked on international feature films as THE LAST STATION and CARLOS. In 2011 he became Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Film House Germany AG and joined the company board at the end of the same year.
