We are proud to announce that Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson will star in Julien Landais ASPERN PAPERS. The adaptation of the Henry James novel of the same name will be Julien Landais feature film directorial debut.
Cohen Media will distribute the film in the U.S., Carnaby International will handle the international rights and Film House Germany’s Gabriela Bacher will produce with Landais under his Princeps Films label. Joey Richardson, James Ivory, Francois Sarkozy, Charles S. Cohen and Film House Germany’s Christian Angermayer and Klemens Hallmann are executive producing. Gary Rubin, EVP of Cohen Media Group, will serve as an associate producer.
The story takes place in Venice in 1885 and centers on a young writer who tries to get his hands on letters the romance poet Jeffrey Aspern wrote to his mistress, who is still alive.
